About us

Greener Berwick is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) focused on climate action and based in Berwick-upon-Tweed in North Northumberland. We are affiliated to the Friends of the Earth Local Action Groups Network.

We are an umbrella for several Action Groups based on the interests and activities of Members. Find information about our current Action Groups here. We could help you to start a new Action Group.

We have a Constitution and a set of policies that govern our functioning. Our committee of about twelve members currently meet monthly on the 2nd Monday of the month at 2pm at the William Elder Building on Castlegate – any Member is welcome to attend any meeting.

See our 2023/24 Annual Report.

If we network to mix people, ideas and energy we believe we can achieve a greener Berwick, a more sustainable environment, and a cleaner future.

What we do

Much of Greener Berwick’s activities are focused around particular themes and objectives carried out by our various Action Groups. Here are some examples (click/tap to enlarge images). We want you to get involved!
