A great opportunity for paid training

With the kind support of Friends of the Earth and National Energy Action (NEA), Greener Berwick are delighted to offer free access for one person to attend NEA's Energy Awareness course - normal cost £546.

This is a Level 3 course aimed at workers who currently or plan to deliver energy advice to households. It covers energy saving methods and other knowledge and skills required to provide useful advice.

Undertaken on an e-learning platform, with online assessment, it is recommended that a minimum of 30 hours is required to complete the course, and prepare for the exam.

In return, Greener Berwick would ask you, once qualified, to provide, a home energy advice service in Berwick, Tweedmouth and Spittal. Initially, this would be on a voluntary basis for a few hours each week. Times would be flexible to fit in with your other activities.

However our ambition is, subject to there being sufficient public demand for the service, and Greener Berwick being successful with a further funding bid, this could become a paid role.
